Funshine var stofnað árið 2009 af Kristínu Stefánsdóttur iðjuþjálfa. Úrval endurskinsmerka hjá Funshine hefur vaxið jafnt og þétt síðan þá en fyrsta endurskinsmerki Funshine var Ísland sem í fyrstu fékkst einungis í nokkrum litum en úrval lita fjölgaði fljótlega og eru margar tegundir í boði í dag.
